Cynix, a fairly recent newcomer to the New York music scene, has quickly established itself as one of the most sought-after musical acts in the city. Cynix's music, which is written by all four musicians in a collaborative effort, has produced an addictive combination of sound that has been very well received: electrorockpop/alternative, which draws on jazz and bossa, creating music like nothing you have ever heard. Cynix is bringing audiences what they are hungry for…a connection and a change.
Probably due to the fact that this off-beat crew with their off-stage antics are anything but newcomers to the music industry themselves, Cynix is bringing their unique sound to audiences worldwide. Built from the ashes of a few of NYC’s most popular bands gone wrong, Cynix has a story that would rival any Oscar-winning screenplay. It is a tale filled with deception, cheating, theft, violence, tragedy, and the determination of four musicians to tell it like it is.
The addictively unique sound coupled with their mind-blowing (and often times, bizarre) stage presence is sure to keep those venues packed (the good looks don’t hurt either…). With over 8,000 CDs sold independently, a website growing in popularity, and a rapidly growing fan base, Cynix is ready to bring music back where it belongs- to a state of creativity - that still reaches audiences like nothing else. Comprised of vocalist Karen Xerri, keyboardist Mark Paradiso, bassist/guitarist Dave Keen, and drummer Rick Donato, Cynix members have achieved international exposure in numerous former projects.

-becoming a Top 10 Finalist in MTV's Band Warfare Nationwide Unsigned Band Search. -Songs co-written by Paradiso have been heard on MTV's undressed and on over 370

Cynix's members have brought their hard-hitting music to every corner of the world from Germany's live music venues to Ernie Ball's East Coast Battle of the Bands. After all this, these four have managed to stay true to their unique sound, brutally honest lyrics, and above all...the music.
