The Lemmings Style(s): Alternative Booking: 813-927-2683
Formed in the summer of 1998, The Lemmings can best be described as a Power Pop Rock quartet. Each of the members brings a creative and individual style to their art stemming from their eclectic personalities.
Lead singer and acoustic guitarist Eric Del Castillo and drummer Richard Belinc are childhood friends; a 16 year relationship comprising the foundation of the group’s music and attitude. Raised on Alternative radio in Tampa, Florida, Eric honed his skills wood shedding and emulating the lyrical stylings of his heroes. Richard followed a different path and became involved with the local music scene at an early age, playing with several well-known bands in the Bay area. He quickly developed a fluid and driving style that easily supports a wide range of music. After hooking Fish, a veteran of the music scene in New York City, to supply the low end, the group started working on material. Ideas developed quickly, but something was still missing. The new bass player turned to his former band mate, guitarist/vocalist Michael Kusheba. Halfway through the Texan’s first solo during the audition, the group recognized that the newly created chemistry was too good to be ignored and immediately asked Michael to join the band. The sound that has since evolved is unique and universal with smooth, rich tones and storytelling lyrics that hit close to home.
