The Boxers create music in the literary pop genre, dealing in the resurrection of obscure cultural anthems, finding the balance between dark melancholy and manic euphoria. They formed in 1999 and recorded a somewhat substandard demo cd (due to money and time constraints), however, it displayed to the world an inkling of the curious creative potential latent in The Boxers' music. With Ian Edwards on vocals/guitars, Dustin Hanes on drums, Tyrone Barnett on bass and Aaron Butler as poster boy, The Boxers move into the inevitable future, thrown from the ring --as always. |
