The MOXIEstarpark story reads like a fall down the rabbit hole beginning in 1998 with MOXIE’s infectious debut CD, The Floor (distributed nationally by Ryko Distribution). The Floor began as an experiment in recording and was released as an afterthought. It was met with rave reviews including local recognition as the Long Island Voice’s Band of the Year in 1999 and the album earned 3-1/2 stars from the NY Post, a AAA review from NY’s Newsday and articles in SPIN Online, a hoard of teen magazines, industry rags and the tastiest zines. College and commercial radio embraced the CD with rotations on over 300 radio stations and chart positions on over 100. This helped the band into the HITS Alternative Commercial chart (#21) as well as Album Network (#9). Teen television drama Dawson’s Creek picked up on the record and continues to feature Moxie tracks “Suburbia” and “Sorry” on the show., MOXIEstarpark is ready to spin their pixie dust once again. The female-trio-with-boy-drummer- pop/punk-powerhouse prepares to deliver a much-anticipated 16-song release (Blinding Blaring Twinkle) to a posse of eagerly waiting fans. Check out "Fucking Happy",from the upcoming release Blinding Blaring Twinkle, available here for free download!
