Chi is an intense, emotional, dynamic, guitar driven band with a live show that'sbeen compared to "a freight train smashing through a brick wall" (Hue Magazine)We think of our sound as a cross between EMO and heavy alternative, agressiveat times but always with our hearts on our sleeves....The band has been based out of Kamloops, B.C. for just over 2 years now.With hard work and perseverence, Chi has established a fiercly dedicated fan base, street team, and earned the respect of key industry people, not only in Kamloops, but other B.C. cities and towns as well.Chi has independantly released 2 E.P.s one of which (Thursday's Child)completely sold out of pressing! A full length cd (12 songs) titled "Anywhere but here" will be released June 2001. Tour plans and a musicvideo are underway to support the cd.We have a large variety of merchandise at every show and always hand out freestickers advertising the website, www.chimusic.com. We're also listed on manyonternet music sites such as mp3.com and ubl.com etc. which has helped getting us noticed.In the 2 years the group has been together, we've toured all over B.C., playedNew Music West 2000, been played extensively on 98.3 cifm, Radio-8 92.5 fm,and had the opportunities to open for the following bands......Gob (several times)Bowling for Soup (several times), Flybanger, Grade, Real Mackenzies, Bane, Removal, and Choke...Thank you for your time.Chi
