3against1 exploded onto the San Diego night scene in 2001 and has become one of Southern California's major, up and coming Hard Alternative Rock bands.
Since their first San Diego show in June 2001, 3against1 has expanded their sphere of influence and gained a large following with performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County, Phoenix, Mexico and Las Vegas. They have played with national acts such as; Sprung Monkey, The Pharcyde, Coolio, Pulley, Yellowcard, Mower, Mix Mob, Naughty by Nature, Homegrown, L.A. Guns, Rocket from the Crypt and more.
With mesmerizing grooves, catchy melodic vocals and creative arrangements, they've taken each venue by storm, with a stranglehold of sound and showmanship from start to finish. 3against1 embodies the essence of hard rock.
Mark Weiss (Vocals, Guitar) and Arnaud Lemaire (Lead Guitar) originally played together in high school and reunited after college in Southern California to form their long awaited musical project in 2001. After much soul searching, 3against1 finalized their line up in the summer of 2002, adding bass player, Jeff Williamson and drummer, Saul Ashley, creating the sound they were looking for and crafting the perfect musical fit.
3against1's musical passion and determination to succeed has locked them in on local radio play and studio time at 91X and ROCK 1053 & Independent 92.1FM as well as a live television performance on KUSI channel 8 in San Diego.
May 2002 brought the self-release of the first full length LP "Unstable" which has been flying off the shelves at the their shows and local stores. From the first track "Broken" to its final track "My Life," the album's clever arrangement of each song is both well positioned and unpredictable, offering listeners a fresh, maturer and much needed original sound.
From a high school band to a San Diego landmark; 3against1's relentless self-promotion and endless shows have given birth, kicking and screaming, to a style that demands to be heard. If you get a chance to experience 3against1 live, don't pass it up, you will not be disappointed. | |
